The Saracens are excited to announce that James Tesoriero will be the Head Coach of the Women's Program for the 2017 season. James brings an immense amount of rugby knowledge and experience, and will be an excellent addition to our coaching team.

James was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, where he played high school and university rugby. He took up rugby coaching while working as a high school teacher in his early 20's after an injury ended his playing career. James was employed in coaching and development by the Australian Rugby Union between 2007-2012, including a role as the State Coaching & Development Manager for the Northern Territory Rugby Union (NTRU). While at the NTRU, James coached the State's senior women's XV's team and the senior men's 7's program (The NT Mosquitoes). The Mosquitoes competed in various elite 7's tournaments throughout Australia and Asia. James returned to Sydney in 2012 to take a role as the Colts (U20s) Program Co-ordinator and Head Coach of the Randwick Rugby Club, Australia's most famous and successful club. In 2012 & 2013, James coached the NSW Women's 7's teams (including a number of Australian XV's and 7's National team players) at the Australian National Women's 7's Championships.

In 2014, James moved to the United States after taking his current role in California with the Cal Poly Mustangs Rugby Club. The Mustangs have qualified for the D1a playoffs (top 12 in USA) and National College 7's Championships (top 16 in USA) in each of his seasons with the University. James recently completed guest coaching camps with the Honda Heat in Japan's Top League (Summer 2015 & Summer 2016), and also coached at 2015/16 National Women's All Star camps with the USA Senior Women's National Team.

We have every confidence that James' vast experience as a coach and development officer will be a huge asset to our program, as we field women's teams in both the AWP and SW1 divisions.
